Talent Acquisition Manager
We’re looking for an engaging, proactive and people-oriented Talent Acquisition Manager to become the person driving our national fundraiser recruitment.
At The Professional Fundraiser, we are proud to be one of the UK’s leading face-to-face fundraising agencies. Our charity partners include some of the UK’s largest charities; including the Royal British Legion, Prostate Cancer UK, and Cats Protection.
Our team of fundraisers shape how supporters experience and understand charitable missions, creating meaningful connections and inspiring people to become long-term supporters.
We are a people-first agency. For us, work is about much more than hitting targets; it’s about making every single touchpoint with our clients, team, and the public a unique experience that is unlike any other.
We’re looking for an engaging, proactive and people-oriented Talent Acquisition Manager to become the person driving our national fundraiser recruitment. We know that fundraiser conversations are pivotal in realising our charity partners’ ambitions and those conversations are equally as important when growing our team. We’re seeking someone who has the drive and energy to secure top tier fundraising talent to join our already incredible team.
Our fundraisers are on the front line every day making a difference—and we need a high-energy, targeted Talent Acquisition Manager to find, engage, and hire them. You won’t just post adverts, you will be the face to face representative seeking out top tier talent to join our already incredible team.
What you’ll be doing
Talent Attraction
- You will travel to nationwide venues, including retail outlets and shows/events using the power of conversation to share the benefits of working as a member of the fundraising team at The Professional Fundraiser, showcasing our charity partners and the amazing work they do
- Actively listen to established fundraisers, realising what matters to them and how those motivations align with our team culture
- Review job boards and social media channels, actively resourcing from local communities and spotting passive talent
- Collaborate with our brand and marketing manager to create recruitment campaigns that are consistent with fundraising campaign requirements, ensuring that our recruitment process is a stand out experience.
- Identify pockets of potential where talent can be grown and nurtured, from university career events and job fairs
- Assessing suitability through screening and sharing the details for follow up
- Bring to life the role of a TPF fundraiser, what they can expect and why we are the agency of choice
- Using our pool of talent spotters and field managers to create a continuous pipeline of new candidates to join our team
Pipeline & Talent Management
- Keep in touch with candidates, building and strengthening relationships right from that first interaction all through their tenure
- Revisit previous contacts, checking in to update on new requirements or developments
- Take part in the interview process to ensure continuity and process transparency
- Reporting on Recruitment KPIs to internal stakeholders, celebrating the successes and implementing new initiatives where needed
Am I right for this role?
You’ll need to have a passion for talent acquisition and be willing to travel nationwide to secure it. An understanding of fundraising or direct sales would be beneficial as this gives you a greater sense of authenticity when speaking with potential candidates. You need to be resilient and perceptive, securing gold standard talent whilst spotting transferable skills and core traits. The fundraiser talent pool is small, you’ll need to be a self motivated talent hunter that is not afraid to walk a different line.
